Celta Vigo coach Luis Enrique is under discussion at Barcelona.
Sport says Barca are now actively seeking a replacement for coach Tata Martino, who will leave his job at season's end.
Enrique is high on the agenda, as is Athletic Bilbao boss Ernesto Valverde.
Barca sports chief Andoni Zubizarreta is a big fan of Enrique and wanted to install him last summer, but was over-ruled by president Sandro Rosell, who made Martino a personal appointment.
But interestingly, Zubi's first-choice now would be Valverde, with the pair being close friends. But he's reluctant to upset Bilbao, where he was sports director for three years and is still close to many on the board.
Within Barca, Enrique's candidacy is building momentum. A former captain and Barca B coach, Enrique has also won favour over his work this season with Rafinha, who is starring on-loan at Celta this season.
Also boosting the former AS Roma coach's prospects is his popularity with the Blaugrana support.
