Celta Vigo coach Benitez: LaLiga won't catch the Premier League with cameras in dressing room

Celta Vigo coach Rafa Benitez admits the LaLiga trails the Premier League.

Benitez was asked about the LaLiga compared to Europe's other great competitions.

He said: “I come to Spain with my experience in Italy and, especially, in England and it helps me to give my opinion with knowledge of the facts.

"We want the Spanish league to be the biggest, I don't know what and such... but we are far behind the Premier. It pains me to say it, but it is a reality. We are trying to make football very attractive to the viewer and we want to put the cameras in the changing rooms.

"In Italy it was done and the players hid in the physio rooms and in the bathrooms after the first two days. You had to be covering the actions from set pieces. It's not good for much. It serves to give you paraphernalia, but when you have a microphone here, your talk is not the same as when you do not have it. It's all a bit fictional.

"Things are copied from the Premier, but what the Premier has is a lot of money behind it for everything: for journalists, media, those of us who are going to comment on matches. It has nothing to do with it."
