Celta Vigo attacker Veiga has favoured option if Man Utd, Arsenal meet buyout clause

Celta Vigo attacker Gabri Veiga would favour a move to Real Madrid this summer.

The 20-year-old has a €40m release clause and both Manchester United and Arsenal are willing to pay it.

It now remains to be seen what Real Madrid decide and according to Cadena SER, the player would prefer to join Los Blancos. If Madrid are willing to match the €40m, Veiga could choose the Bernabéu as the next step in his career despite interest from the Premier League.

Madrid have watched Gabri Veiga on several occasions with Celta this season, where he has linked up superbly with club legend Iago Aspas - 15 years his senior.

In May he extended his contract with Celta until June 2026 but is one of the lowest-paid players in the squad.
