Real Madrid chief Jose Angel Sanchez has held face-to-face talks with Dani Ceballos about his future.
Ceballos was blocked from leaving Real last month after a frustrating first half of the season in Madrid - and his situation hasn't improved.
The midfielder met with Sanchez last week to thrash out his issues and left feeling in a better frame of mind.
It was suggested if Zinedine Zidane was to remain as coach next season, then Real would be willing to allow Ceballos to leave on-loan in order to secure regular first team football.
And if Zidane was replaced, it was settled Ceballos would participate in preseason before a final decision was made by the new coach over whether he will be useful for the new campaign. Again, a loan departure is an option.
The meeting broke up, reports Diario Gol, with Ceballos feeling better about his future and where he sits in Real's plans.
