Cattermole unhappy with Middlesbrough role

Lee Cattermole admits he's unhappy with the right-midfield role Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate is asking him to play.

Despite scoring the winner at Fulham on Saturday, Cattermole complained: "I'm not a right midfielder and I don't want to be to be honest. If the gaffer asks me to play there then I will play there and do a job.

"I'm not going to say I had a good game because I didn't. But I scored a goal and that proved crucial so I have to be happy with that.

"The win was more important than me scoring and I thought it was a great team effort today. I think we deserved a bit of luck and it was nice to get on the score sheet too.

"I scored a similar goal down at Charlton last season and when you put them low into the corners it's difficult for the keepers to get to them."
