Catania sports chief Pietro Lo Monaco has revealed the interest of Manchester City in striker Jorge Martinez.

The Uruguay international is a confirmed target for Lazio, while Lo Monaco admits Catania are keen to extend his current deal, which expires in 2011.

"Also for the player we have already opened talks with some major clubs and one foreigner in particular with whom we have contact," said Lo Monaco. "In January, came forward Roma, Fiorentina, Juventus and Manchester City. A fair price would be £10 million."
