Catalonia's Mundo Deportivo has lashed out at Barcelona striker Luis Suarez.
After being told to find himself a new club by coach Ronald Koeman, Suarez has been seeking a pay-off from Barca for the final year of his contract. A demand which hasn't impressed Mundo Deportivo.
In an editorial, the newspaper stated: "It makes no sense that he earns a year as a severance pay and what the new club will pay him and that he leaves without earning Barcelona a euro.
"It is illogical for Suarez to ask for a year's salary when he will then also reinforce a Barcelona rival. The Suarez case has nothing to do with Messi, it is a different matter. In the history of Barça there have been only three people who renounced their remuneration: Carles Puyol, Marc Overmars and Louis van Gaal. The rest has been collected and what the contracts say must be respected."
