Real Madrid captain Iker Casillas was delighted to be part of their rout of Athletic Bilbao.
Real won 5-0 yesterday with Casillas keeping a rare clean sheet.
"We had been conceding a lot of goals so this is an important result. The team was full of confidence and we were solid throughout. We players at the back feel the support from the forward players," said Casllas.
"The greatest thing is that the fans are behind the team, that is the main thing and it will make us play at our best. The players need the support of the fans to win matches."
The goalkeeper also joked: "I'm proud of the number of games I've played here. It's been done on merit. I know I've been here for a long time, in fact I know some are probably sick of seeing my face!"
