Casillas defends Man Utd keeper De Gea: He shouldn't be in eye of hurricane

Porto goalkeeper Iker Casillas insists David de Gea will recover from his World Cup opening day shocker.

The Manchester United goalkeeper was at fault for one of the three goals he conceded in Spain's 3-3 draw with Portugal.

Casillas said: "I trust him.

"Because he has a small error he does not have to be put in the eye of the hurricane.

"Cristiano (Ronaldo) has a dry shot, especially with his left foot, it was a quick gesture and the ball could have changed trajectory.

"The third goal is of tremendous quality, it was practically impossible to stop it, Cristiano leads the Portuguese national team."
