River Plate goalkeeper Juan Pablo Carrizo is in Rome hoping to complete his protracted move to Lazio.

The Argentine cannot sign for the club until he has an EU passport and had seen the summer switch collapse after months of drawn out red tape.

Carrizo hopes new paperwork will be proof of his Italian heritage, which will allow him to finalise his switch to Lazio.
