Michael Carrick has heaped praise on Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal.
The 33-year old midfielder has been a key player in the Dutchman's first season at Old Trafford and Carrick admits it has been down to the faith shown in his abilities by his boss.
"I was out for three months at the start of the season, since then he has been brilliant," Carrick said on Sky Sports.
"He's supported me and given me a lot of responsibility. As the season has gone on I think I've showed that on the pitch and I've been happy with the way I've played."
