Carragher wants to see Liverpool boss Rodgers use two strikers

Jamie Carragher believes Liverpool would be better-suited playing two strikers together rather than a 4-3-3 system.

The Reds have struggled in the early stages of the new Premier League season, scoring just three times in their opening five matches.

In a bid to remedy that sub-standards start, former defender Carragher suggests manager Brendan Rodgers needs to change things around once Daniel Sturridge is fit again.

"Liverpool have to play with two strikers, whatever the system they have to do it because they are not getting enough goals," he said on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football.

"I think the wide striker is the way forward for Liverpool. I would like to see Sturridge playing in that position but something has got to be worked on to incorporate the other players because the lack of goals is killing Liverpool."
