Newcastle United chief scout Graham Carr is set for a new scouting mission from next month.
The Evening Chronicle says Carr will begin a new scouting assignment next month - having presented his final shortlist for this summer's transfer plans to owner Mike Ashley.
He said: "We'll start things off again in July. When it gets to around Christmas time we're then ready again in case we need somebody in the January window, then it starts again.
"It's never ending to be honest, we're constantly looking for new players.
"When the season finishes I'm always on the end of the phone with Mike, Derek and Alan."
