The Carolina RailHawks have acquired midfielder Luke Sassano from Major League Soccer on a loan for the remainder of the NASL Season.
Sassano, 26, spent the last two years of his career with Sporting Kansas City after being drafted by New York Red Bulls in 2008.
Sassano appeared in a total of 38 matches for the Red Bulls before being traded to Kansas City. He had a successful season in 2011, playing in nine MLS and four Open Cup matches. Sassano also appeared in Kansas City's 3-0 win against New England Revolution on March 17th before sustaining an injury.
