David Carney has no doubts Blackpool can beat the odds and stay up this season.
Although Blackpool know there will be tough times ahead, Carney, who made his debut in Saturday's 2-0 win at Newcastle, is confident they can handle it.
He told Tangerine Player: "There's a good bunch of lads, and the manager's got us all really together. He likes to play attractive, fast football and I think that's why we're doing so well.
"It's only early days so we've got to keep the hard work going and look forward to it because it's exciting times. If we carry on playing like this I think we can have a really good season."
