Carlos Tevez named new coach of Rosario Central; hires his three brothers

Former Manchester City and Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez has been named new coach of Rosario Central.

Tevez, 38, announced his retirement from professional football earlier this month.

He has now taken charge of Rosario Central, penning an initial one-year deal.

Carlos 'El Chapa' Retegui will also join as a member of his backroom staff.

Rosario chiefs went with Tevez after meeting with him last week.

Also forming part of the backroom staff will be his three brothers; Diego, Miguel and Ariel Tevez.

Rosario Central vice-president Ricardo Carloni said of the deal: "When I met him, I saw that he has the flame of a winner. We talked about the club's projects and he seemed very good to us."
