Craig Bellamy says Cardiff City's strength has come from the work of manager Malky Mackay.
Bellamy spoke up for Mackay amid reports of Cardiff demanding his resignation earlier this season.
"As a manager, he's (Mackay) the best young British manager I've dealt with. What he's done for this club in a short space of time is nothing short of remarkable.
"I've never seen a group of fans and players united like this because of what he has done. He's responsible for the connection between the fans and the players.
"We're such a tight-knit group. The discipline he's brought into the club, remarkable.
"Listen, I'm a player. It isn't for me to dictate to anyone above me.
"But the simple fact is that I'm very fortunate as a player to be working for the guy.
"I've had a lot of managers. Some good ones too. I've been ridiculously lucky from that point of view.
"He's brought everyone together here - and we needed that.
"I don't want to disrespect the other managers we've had here at Cardiff because everyone has played their part in the history of this club. But he has taken it on to another level, he really has."
