Birmingham City are close to completing a loan move for Cardiff City's Omar Bogle.

It appears Birmingham have stolen a march on Ipswich, who were also interested in the player.

Sky Sports reports that Bogle will have a medical on Monday night, while the specifics of the loan are ironed out.

There is a doubt as to the length of the loan - until January or a full season deal.

Ipswich had assumed they would get their man, but Birmingham stole a march on them at the last minute.
