Cardiff's Miller to be monitored ahead of Scotland double header

Scotland star Kenny Miller will be watched carefully in the lead-up to their Euro2012 qualifiers this weekend and early next week.

The Scots have vital Group I clashes with Liechtenstein in Vaduz (Saturday) and Spain in Alicante (Tuesday) and need at least four points from the pair of matches and hope Czech Republic are beaten by the Spaniards on Friday night to qualify.

One player they will love to have out there is Cardiff City striker Miller who is in doubt with a groin injury but a recent scan suggests he will not have to pull out of the squad which has given manager Craig Levein renewed hope.

Miller is believed to be confident of at least playing some part for Scotland as they look to qualify for a first major finals since the 1998 World Cup in France.
