Cardiff City have made a late move to trump for Coventry for Wolves striker Sam Vokes.

The Mirror says Coventry had agreed a deal to sign Wales international Vokes on loan last week but want to complete the switch on Thursday.

And Dave Jones is now battling to capitalise on the delay and sign the 19-year-old to boost his Bluebirds' firepower.
