Cardiff City are ready to challenge the Premier League big guns for Sevilla fullback Alberto Moreno.
The Daily Mail says Cardiff plan to spark the auction for Moreno with an opening January offer.
Cardiff fear they could be outbid by Premier League rivals as Manchester United and Chelsea have both watched the 21-year-old extensively.
Moreno recently inked a new deal with Sevilla, which includes a hiked-up buyout clause of £25 million.
