Newcastle United defender James Perch is set to be on the move in the coming days.

The Evening Chronicle says both Cardiff City and Leicester City understood to be keen on taking him on loan with a view to a permanent deal.

Perch was left out of United's squad which recently toured America and instead was despatched with the reserves to Holland last week.

The defender accepts he's not in manager Alan Pardew's plans for the new season.
