Cardiff City are interested in Liverpool defender Tiago Ilori.

The Mirror says Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is ready to move for Liverpool defender Tiago Ilori if he fails to land Michael Keane from Manchester United.

The Cardiff manager is keen to strengthen his defensive resources having sold Steven Caulker to QPR and seen Ben Turner ruled out for a month with an ankle injury.

Keane has had previous loan spells at Leicester, Blackburn and Derby, and Van Gaal is close to making a decision about the 21-year-old's immediate future.

Should he fail to land Keane, Solskjaer will turn his attentions to a loan deal for Ilori.
