Cardiff City are ready to compete with Stoke City for wantaway Hannover striker Mame Biram Diouf.
Stoke have been interested in the 26 year-old Senegal international since last summer.
The Cardiff connection comes through Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who managed Molde in Norway after Diouf had played there, says The Sentinel.
But there are no guarantees Solskjaer will still be Cardiff boss in the summer - and Diouf is hardly likely to entertain any approach if the Bluebirds are relegated.
