It has been confirmed that the 2014 UEFA Super Cup will take place at the Cardiff City Stadium.
The meeting between the Champions League winners and Europa League victors will be held in south Wales on Tuesday, August 12 at 7:45pm.
Jonathan Ford, chief executive of the Football Association of Wales, said: "The Football Association of Wales is delighted Cardiff will be hosting this year's UEFA Super Cup.
"Cardiff has hosted several high profile sporting events. This, however, is a first.
"This will be the first match staged on behalf of UEFA in the Welsh capital. We are sure it will not be the last."
The 2013 UEFA Super Cup took place in Prague, Czech Republic with Bayern Munich beating Chelsea 5-4 on penalties following a 2-2 draw after extra-time.
