Cardiff City boss Malky Mackay hopes to strengthen each line of his team in January.

Mackay intends to ask the board to spend next month.

"I will talk to my chairman, who will discuss it with his board and our owner," he said.

"It is about bringing in another layer of quality to add to what we have got.

"It would be great if we can bring in three quality additions, in every department in terms of a defender, a midfielder and an attacking player."
