England boss Fabio Capello has backed Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney to have a fantastic World Cup.

A lot relies on the broad shoulders of the 24-year old with media and fans expecting him to be the main man and the manager evidently sees the same based on these comments.

"He is in a good moment, he trains very well and he scores goals during training, which is important for him," Capello told the BBC.

"I think he will play a fantastic World Cup."
