Capello to lead England at Euro 2012

Fabio Capello has ended any doubt about his future as England manager by instructing his lawyers to remove a potential exit clause that would have allowed him to quit at the end of the World Cup, reports the Daily Mail. The Italian is now certain to be in charge at Euro 2012, however England perform in South Africa, after the FA and Capello agreed last week to rewrite the contract he signed in 2008, removing any possibility of either side terminating the agreement early.

Although Capello had signed a four-year deal until the summer of 2012 when he first took over in January 2008, it contained a window of opportunity after this summer's World Cup finals in which either side could walk away without paying any compensation. It is this clause which has been removed.

The FA and Capello's advisors are now in the process of rewriting the contract, which will bind the Italian to the England job until the 2012 European Championship finals.
