England coach Fabio Capello has no regrets reinstating Chelsea defender John Terry as national team captain.

Capello reappointed Terry as skipper in March having stripped him of the role 13 months earlier, but the Italian has defended his decision.

He said: "I don't regret it. Absolutely not. He is a really important player in the dressing room and on the pitch. That's why we picked him. For this reason."
