Italian agent Dario Canovi says Bologna have pulled off a coup in the hiring of former Spezia coach Thiago Motta.
Canovi is close to Motta, who was appointed by Bologna this week.
He told Radio FirenzeViola: "Between the Spezia of (Vincenzo) Italiano and that of Motta there is a big difference, because last summer players left.
"In my opinion Thiago did a great job in Spezia and I consider him potentially among the four best coaches in the world. He doesn't have a fixed tactic, he changes the game system even three times per game.
"A great coach has to prepare the team on multiple playing patterns and he has this great gift that not many have. As a footballer he has been in the locker rooms of great champions and this means a lot."
