Napoli captain Paolo Cannavaro believes Edinson Cavani can write himself into the club's folklore.

Cavani has been a revelation this season and drawn comparisons with legend Diego Maradona.

Cannavaro said: "Diego Maradona was our history.

"I hope that Cavani becomes it too, but replacing Maradona isn't easy because what he did wasn't exactly little."
