World boxing champion Canelo Alvarez has issued a violent threat to Argentina star Lionel Messi.
The seven-time Ballon d'Or winner has been accused of insulting the Mexican flag.
Argentina and Mexico met at the World Cup group stages over the weekend, with Messi scoring to help his side to a 2-0 win.
During his post-game walk back to the dressing room, Messi appeared to kick a Mexican shirt on the floor.
Alvarez Twitter to write: "Did you guys see Messi cleaning the floor with our jersey and flag, He better pray to God that I don't find him.
"Just like I respect Argentina, he has to respect Mexico!,
"I'm not talking about the country as a whole, just about the bulls**t that Messi did."
