Sol Campbell, the former Arsenal captain, has talked to Gunners boss Arsene Wenger about returning to the club to train and try to regain his fitness, reports The Guardian. The 35-year-old wants Arsenal's physiotherapists to help him overcome some minor fitness concerns and he hopes to be playing for a new club before the January transfer window opens.
Campbell walked out on Notts County last month after playing one game for the League Two club despite signing a lucrative five-year deal. He said today that he has not been released from Notts County and therefore could not join a new club.
