Campbell leaves Blackpool for QPR

Premier League new boys QPR have secured the services of DJ Campbell from Blackpool.

According to skysports.com, the 29-year old has joined the R's following his 13-goal Premier League performance for the Seasiders last term.

Campbell returns to his native London after spending most of his career away from England's capital, taking in spells with the likes of Stevenage, Brentford, Birmingham City, Leicester City and Derby County.

West Ham United were at the front of a bunch of clubs who were keen on Campbell but QPR have been able to land their man just over a week out from their Premier League campaign.
