Cambridge United boss Richard Money admits Louis van Gaal had no idea who he was ahead of their FA Cup tie with Manchester United.
Money revealed he had taken precautions to avoid any blank looks from the Dutchman in front of the TV cameras.
He said: "I introduced myself to him before the game because I wasn't sure he would know who I was.
"I didn't want an embarrassing situation on the touchline.
"You shake hands before the game and he would be wondering who was the coach, so I made a point of introducing myself to him as we walked out the tunnel."
