Cahill hoping Chelsea can deal in Traore

Chelsea defender Gary Cahill hopes they can sign trialist Bertrand Traore.

Traore has certainly left an impression on the senior players in Jose Mourinho's squad.

"I know the quality of the training we do at Cobham and lads like Traore have come into the games and not looked out of place," said Cahill.

"He's been working well with the manager for two weeks and scored a fantastic goal in Jakarta. He's composed on the ball and has great confidence for such a young lad.

"I don't know the ins and outs of the situation, but he's certainly done himself no harm in the two weeks we've been here.

"It's too early to say he's ready to do this and that and we don't want to get carried away, but he has certainly not looked out of place in training alongside some top international players.

"He's slotted in nicely. He's a young lad, but I'm sure he's got a bright future at Chelsea."
