Chelsea defender Gary Cahill is ready to sign a new deal.
The London Evening Standard says Cahill is expected to be the next Chelsea player to confirm he has committed his long-term future to the club.
Chelsea handed a new five-year contract to full-back Cesar Azpilicueta at the start of the month and yesterday signed goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois up until 2019.
Talks with Cahill began months ago and it is only a matter of time before an announcement is made confirming he is extending his stay at Stamford Bridge.
