Cagliari president Tommaso Giulini has welcomed the arrival of new coach Gianfranco Zola.

The Chelsea legend succeeds Zdenek Zeman.

"We lose a great figure like Zeman, but even if the actors change, the club remains," said Giulini.

"We're starting fresh from the drive, the humility and the determination of Zola.

"Our ideas haven't changed from last season, what matters is the club. Zola and [assistant Pierluigi] Casiraghi bring a wealth of innovations, including of an international level."
