Remy Cabella says he is keen to remain a Newcastle United player.
The French midfielder, 25, has struggled to be a prominent force at St James' Park since his £12million move from Montpellier last summer but insists that he is happy as a Magpies and intends to remain in England's north east next season.
"Yes, I hope so in any case [to be a Newcastle player next season]," Cabella told BeIN Sports.
"At the moment, I am 100% there. I have signed a contract. It was difficult for Loulou [Montpellier President Louis Nicollin] to sell me because he was asking for a certain price and in France there was not a single club who offered what he asked for.
"Newcastle interested me and it was the club that wanted me no matter what the price. It was the only club that offered what Loulou was asking for."
