Youngster Aaron Ramsey has put out a heartfelt farewell message to Aston Villa.

The 20-year-old has completed a permanent transfer to Burnley from the Midlands club.

The England youth international will get greater first team chances under Vincent Kompany at Clarets.

Ramsey told Burnley's official website: “I'm absolutely buzzing. I have been waiting to be a Burnley player for a while now and I'm really happy it's all officially done now. I can't wait to get started.

“I can't wipe my smile off my face. When you come to a new club you want the lads to welcome you in and everyone here has done that straight away. It's been really easy to settle, everyone has been amazing."

Ramsey stated on social media to Villa fans: "Thank you, Villa! My boyhood club and the place I've called home since I was seven.

"I wanted to come on here to say a massive thank you to everyone at the club, from the staff, to the players that have played a part in my career.
