Burnley have rejected Derby County's bid for Jason Shackell.

Derby manager Paul Clement is looking to bring a new central defender to the club this summer and it was reported that the former Real Madrid assistant had launched a bid in the region of £2million for Clarets captain Shackell.

However, Burnley are not interested in parting with Shackell and according to reports from the Lancashire Telegraph, the Clarets have rebuffed Derby's offer for the 31-year old who arrived at Turf Moor from the Rams in 2012.
