Burnley midfielder Dwight McNeil is on the radar of Newcastle United.
The Daily Star says despite signing a new contract in January which keeps him at Turf Moor until 2023, that has not deterred would-be buyers from keeping a close eye on him.
Though Rafa Benitez' Magpies future remains up in the air, he is still planning for next season with the Spaniard keen to recruit a blend of experienced and young players in the close-season.
With Isaac Hayden and Jonjo Shelvey likely to leave St James's Park this summer, he wants to strengthen his midfield with Bournemouth pair Ryan Fraser and David Brooks on his radar.
And McNeil's performances on the left flank for Burnley since winning a regular place in Sean Dyche's starting line-up after Christmas have also alerted the Newcastle scouting team.
