Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton is open to an England recall.

Heaton has made an impressive return to Premier League action after a serious shoulder injury and could land a recall from Gareth Southgate against the Czech Republic next month.

He said, "The fire is still burning. The door is certainly open from my end regarding England - it's my ambition and the level I want to play at. I know you have to be playing every week and putting in the performances to give yourself a chance.

"The manager (Southgate) has brought players back before. From my experience of him, he was always top drawer when I was involved and hopefully I will be getting back involved in it again. We will see what happens."
