Burnley go for Newcastle keeper Forster

Burnley are chasing Newcastle United goalkeeper Fraser Forster.

The Lancashire Telegraph says Forster, who after living in the shadow of Shay Given, Steve Harper and Tim Krul at St James' Park since turning professional in 2006, caught the eye on loan at Norwich City last season, being named their players' player of the year.

The 22-year-old made 42 appearances for the Canaries, in all competitions, keeping 21 clean sheets - including four in a row at the end of the season as Norwich clinched an immediate return to the Championship by winning the League One title.
