Burnley boss Vincent Kompany thanked the home fans for their welcome after FA Cup quarterfinal defeat at Manchester City.
The Championship leaders were thrashed 6-0 with Erling Haaland scoring a hat-trick.
Former City captain Kompany said, "When it actually happens it still takes you by surprise. I can only be grateful. I was pleased to bring all those fans across from Burnley and honoured to receive such a warm welcome from the City fans.
"The only thing I'd say about his (Pep Guardiola's) team is that they were consistent in my time and they're still consistent now. It says something about the level of the manager.
"This is the way you learn, in my opinion."
