Burnley boss Dyche on Chelsea defeat: They're still a good side

Burnley boss Sean Dyche refused to be down after their home defeat to Chelsea.

Kevin Long's own goal set Antonio Conte's men on their way in the first half, but Ashley Barnes deflected Johann Berg Gudmundsson's wayward shot to give the hosts hope of earning a point at Turf Moor.

Victor Moses' right-footed shot into the bottom corner proved the winner for the visitors.

Dyche said: "They had a couple of moments where they had a couple of golden chances, mainly from our bad play. The first goal was a mix up. We recovered well and then Nick Pope gets a touch on it and hits it into our defending.

"There has been a bit of noise around them but they are still a top side. I am really pleased with our growing mentality. It is not easy when you are a goal down to come out and take the game on and I felt we did that.

"I am really pleased with how we are going about our business this season. All in all, closer than where we have been in the past where we have been with these sides. Not disappointed overall.

"We are not them, we are not close to them yet, but we have moved forward."
