Burnley boss Sean Dyche has dismissed claims of him being named Manager of the Year.
Dyche is tipped to be recognised by fellow bosses in the League Managers Association if he keeps the Clarets up on the Premier League's smallest budget.
Dyche said: "I only think, if that's the case, it's because of the challenge we faced after 10 games without a win at the start.
"It is recognised we have tried to do something different from the norm, which is to throw money at every situation.
"The board have worked in a fair manner, and I'm committed to what we do this week, next week, the week after that - and I can't tell you any further because that's the nature of the business.
"I've been at a club where I did what was deemed a very good job, and I was the only one outside the top four who got a vote for manager of the season, and BOOM! (Dyche takes careful aim at a reporter and mimes a marksman firing a rifle).
"It's unlikely that people like me will be here forever, but it's fundamentally important that whatever happens in the future, I have played my part."
