Burnley manager Owen Coyle is keen to land Houston Dynamo midfielder Stuart Holden next month. The Clarets have invited the Scottish-born USA international for talks in the hope to beat Blackburn Rovers to his signature in the January transfer window.
The 24-year old has already had a stint in the Premier League, with Sunderland in 2005, but it did not go smoothly so he will be hoping his next move works out for the better.
Holden is almost certain to leave the Dynamo in the new year and can join Burnley as a free agent with a British passport.
