Championship outfit Crystal Palace have confirmed the appointment of George Burley as their new manager. A number of names have been linked with the role over the past few weeks, including Chris Coleman and Dougie Freedman, who was assistant to Hart.
But former Scotland manager Burley has been handed the reins, with Freedman staying on as his right-hand man.
Burley has been out of work since a disappointing spell with Scotland came to an end last November, but he has a successful record at club level.
Burley's first competitive game as manager of Palace will be at home to Leicester on the opening day of the 2010/11 Championship season.
