Gigi Buffon is happy he chose to stay with Juventus.
The experienced goalkeeper attracted an offer from Manchester City last season and has also been linked with Bayern Munich and Manchester United.
"My decision to stay at Juventus was made by my heart, though I also thought we would rise again very quickly," he told JuventusMember.com.
"That was not the case, but even if we haven't won yet, I have been paid back in affection and love the fans show every time I step on to the field or walk down the street.
"We are setting the foundations for the future and I think it's looking bright. I have been at Juve for almost 10 years and have so many wonderful memories.
"The first great celebration was the Scudetto on May 5 2002, wonderful as it was unexpected. Then the Champions League Final in Manchester, even if the result was negative. Finally, the Serie B debut against Rimini in 2006."
